Nurturing Students

With a faith-based compass, and equipped with visionary education research, PacBay is working to develop the knowledge, skills, tools and experiences children need to address the challenges and to embrace the opportunities life offers.  PacBay is providing an education in Pacifica that is deeply sensitive to the cultural diversity of the Bay Area. The school is committed to nurturing students who see themselves as agents of social transformation in the world.

Environmental Stewardship

The PacBay campus is more than just a collection of buildings. Our thirty-seven acres include natural classrooms: eucalyptus groves, hiking trails, an amphitheater, a creek and student garden areas. Our students learn to be good stewards of God’s creation as they spend time experiencing it.

Outdoor education is integral to our middle school curriculum. Each fall the 6th grade attends a week-long Outdoor Education camp at Mission Springs near Santa Cruz where hands-on science and team-building activities foster a relationship with the Creator and promote good stewardship of His creation.

All middle school students participate in community service days for restoring natural environments and community gardening. Service locations include San Pedro Valley Park, Pedro Pt. Headlands, Linda Mar State Beach, and Pacifica Community Garden.
